Rules
Enter art in the Creative Arts Building at Loy Lake Park on either Wednesday, October 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or Thursday, October 6th between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Late entries will not be accepted.
Judging will begin on Thursday, at 12:00 p.m.
No picture larger than 2' x 2' (including frame) will be accepted. No picture weighing more than 25 lbs. will be accepted.
Entries must be sturdily framed or matted and equipped with proper hangers, screws and wire. If in the judgment of the Art Superintendent, this is not properly done, the art will not be considered for judging. No frames with glass will be accepted.
Contestants must have name, address and phone number on back of entry.
Names will not be displayed during judging.
Entries must be the original work of the exhibitor, and copies of their work are not acceptable.
All art must have been completed within the year prior to the Fair.
Art cannot have been exhibited at the Grayson County Fair a previous year.
The Art Division is open to amateurs only.
Awards will consist of First, Second, and Third Place in each class with ribbons presented for each. Participation ribbons will be awarded to all other entries.
Judges and superintendents reserve the right to determine if an entry is of First or Blue Ribbon workmanship, if it is entered in the correct category and make any changes deemed appropriate.
Items must be left on display until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9th.
Items must be picked up by receipt between 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9.
